Procapsin® gel contains substances that create favorable growth conditions for hair loss due to androgen alopecia.
The ingredients in Procapsin are (in descending order): Aqua, 1,5-Pentanediol, Pollen Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Polysorbate 20, Squalane, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA, Zinc Chloride, Zinc Oxide, Biotin, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum.
Procapsin® is a gel that lubricates the affected areas. The gel is massaged in the scalp and should not be flushed away. Preferably, apply two times per day on the affected area.
The good news is, Procapsin will work for the majority of people suffering from hair loss.
Androgenic alopecia is the most common form of unwanted hair loss. It affects most men and is the most common cause of baldness in men. A rough estimate is, 95% of all baldness is due to androgen alopecia.
When hair loss starts and how fast it develops, varies. Hair loss is a hereditary disorder, and may also affect women.
Androgenic alopecia occurs in:
- 25% of young men (younger than 25 years)
- 50% of middle aged men
- 13% of women who have not yet reached menopause
Unfortunately, Procapsin® will not work for people suffering from the rare indication spotless hair loss (alopecia areataca). A minority (approximately 2%) of people may be affected, evenly deviced amongst males and females.
Yes, Procapsin® is pleasant to use. It is not sticky on the scalp or hair, and does not have a significant odor.
No medication can make hair grow on a bald scale, so treatment should best start as early as possible. If you have had hair loss for 5 years or more, you may not experience the same effect of Procapsin® as if you had started treatment at an earlier stage.
Some people experience positive effects after a few weeks, but it usually takes at least 3-5 months before the effect is prominent. Keep in mind that Procapsin® does not cure androgenic alopecia, so if you stop treatment, chances are the effect will also disappear.
Procapsin® has passed thorough safety assessment and testing. No adverse reactions have been reported in any of the studies that have been done.
When properly used, Procapsin® is safe and side effects have been reported. Keep in mind Procapsin® has to be applied topically, never take it orally. Make sure it does not get into your eyes, and keep away from children.
Yes, it is safe to use other products in combination with Procapsin®.
How long a bottle lasts depends on the area that has to be treated. For normal use (twice daily) on a part of the scalp, a bottle lasts for at least a month.
Yes you can. Procapsin® contains only pollen extract, not pollen scale, which is what may cause allergies.
